Black Rose

My soul dies
Like a blackening rose
My soul dies
As the petals fall
Reaching the floor
As my heart turns black
As cold as stone
The rose is dying
How it is so beautiful.
Beauty doesn't last forever.

Great poem! I like the way you compare your heart to a dying flower. A heart is supposed to represent love, a beautiful thing between two people. I like the way you expose this at the end, Beauty doesn't last forever.
