God's Kingdom Above

I see the vastness of God's creation,
as I gaze in awe to the heavens above,
it shines upon me in so much beauty,
God has painted the universe with love.

The abundance of star light star bright,
shines upon earth like glimmering rain,
moonbeams shine like a beacon above,
to bring the lost sheep back home again.

With sunshine I see God's happiness,
shining down on me to brighten my life,
I can feel God's warmth filling my soul,
taking away all my feelings of strife.

As the billowy clouds float in the sky,
I think of the softness of God's arms,
wrapping me like a spun silk cocoon,
protecting me from all Satan's charms.

I also see in God's heavenly skies,
that it is endless and goes on for infinity,
just as God's love was in the beginning,
they are both never ending for eternity.

So sorry you are having a tough time. I know how easy it is to get discouraged. Iwould be lost without my few Christian friends. My family is no help, they are all non believers and don't want to here about God. That's why I love writing about my faith. It lets me feel close to Him and feel the Holy Spirit. I am so happy you and others get comfort from them. Take care my friend. I will say a prayer for you tonight. I will pray a special one just for you. Love, Sandy s

    Beautiful!

Sandy, thank you for this beautiful walk through heaven, beautifully visul...loved the walk within the clouds, this is absolutely my favorite part:
As the billowy clouds float in the sky,
I think of the softness of God's arms,
wrapping me like a spun silk cocoon,
protecting me from all Satan's charms.

and the only thing I can say is Thank you for your beautiful painting! All the best in the contest Sandy, and God Bless, Ann

You know so many times your poems are used, you’re used to channel me Sandy? Still going through the mill here, and it’s getting fierce, I feel he’s not there (or did do) no medication mind, yet now I feel as if he’s put a shield around me to protect and deflect the hurt and emotional damage, as if to numb this yes? Surely he’s a mighty reach for surely your poem relays much the same.

    Delightful

What a wonderfully delightful poem Sandy. Well done. Your imagery was great and isn't it amazing how God's love is here now and it was in the beginning, and that he should give us the gift of it, if we receive it. Take care, Heather

    Wonderful!

This is a beautiful poem! I love the things you saw in God's sky and the rhyming you used in the poem to bring them out. Each stanza is beautiful. Heartiest congratulations on the silver. This deserved Gold!

"neverending for eternity" is Gods' love. That is such an awesome fact. This is a beautiful write. I think you have a typo in the fourth line. Did you by any chance mean "has" in place of "have"?
Thank you for entering the contest.
