The Mods are out in force tonight,
but they are not looking for a fight,
they just check the words we write,
the ship they run is pretty tight.
The Mods are out, travelling in pairs,
putting up with leering stares,
they will always treat you fair,
they know all, they are aware.
The Mods are only a keystroke away.
Do these words go or do they stay?
What does this picture really say?
Is it yay or is it nay?
The Mods are out doing their work,
their duties they never shirk,
don't treat them like a jerk
it's their job to clear the murk.

I saw a bunch of people in the chatterbox bitching about the Moderators tonight, and it bothered me. they do a job that puts them in disfavor with a few discontents, theirs is a tough job, and an important one for the future of this site. So I thought up this little ditty as a salute to the men and women of the Mod Squad here at AP...peace

And I know what you mean about lack of appreciation and understanding by some members. Do you think it's at least partly because we sound like Mom and Dad sometimes... also among the unappreciated

It's always nice to see someone that understands and writes a nice poem without sounding like they are kissing up

I HAVE always thought the Mods are angels, and go above and beyond. They take a lot of grief and don't have to. Then again, only a handful of people ever really tell them Thank You.. Good Job Terry, Take Care , Catressa

its not only the young ones WW I have investigated a little and the age of the discontents is from teenage to the golden years, it is a problem for me when i see someone getting bashed for doing their duty. thanks for reading...peace Terry

It's a shame that these children (they are our younger members) feel the need to degrade people. I doubt half of them have ever had occassion to need one of the Moderators of the sight.Let something happen though and you bet they'll go running to a Mod for help. That is if they don't break half of the rules on AP created for their benefit. I think unfortunately that it is time to start making examples of repeat offenders. Maybe that will give the others a reason to pause and consider their behavior!

I have to agree with you a hundred percent on this one buddy. Even though I have never had an occasion to need one of these mod people, I know they are there for a reason and I respect their place and their authority. Without rules and people to enforce them, things would just be amuck. I amglad you are a man willing to make a stand for these good people. You are still okay in my book buddy.

Satsriakal Terry, you are right about the mods, they are always courteous whenever I have talked to them, and, very helpful as well. I've always admired them for their hard work and concentrated devotion towards AP.
I love the acrostics in your poem, by the way, write one on me, if you can sometime, I'd love to see that!!!

Satsriakal Charishma, I see the chatterbox on my screen and usually i dont pay attention to it, but my periphreal(sp?) vision picks up repetition and i noticed a trend today and yesterday, and i didnt like what was being said repeatedly about the mods and the job they do. in all my dealings with them they have been courteous and respectful, I think many more could do to learn the same manners. thanks for reading Char...peace Terry

I'm so proud of you and of myself for being your friend The moderators work so very hard and they certainly do deserve respect, kind words, appreciation, and anything POSITIVE. I never see the chatter box so I've never seen this talk going on which you mentioned. You did very well by this contribution to AP. I'm sure all the mods are smiling now May crazy minds read this and get enlightened!

i usually dont pay attention to the cb but the talk of the mods today and the other day caught my attention, and irked me a little, I dont like to see people being put down and ridiculed for doing an important job for this site...peace

Nice tribute to the mod's. They have done a lot for all of us, and they deserve the credit. Awesome write! I agree with you fully. Plus, usually in the chatterbox is people just aimlessly talking rubbish because they have nothing else to do...meh

Greetings sir monk, some days I think you need billy clubs and tear gas( but you didnt hear that from me) you provide an essential service that is crucial to the survival of this site. All it would take is one bad photo or one unchecked poem to cause alot of grief to kevin and this site, if they werent checked, this place would be a zoo of disgusting images and writings, there has to be a line, and you and the other mods guard that line. I salute you all...peace

well most dont have a problem it is the vocal discontents that stir up trouble making prople think that the mods are all ( insert bad word here) but when i saw them ripping them tonight, and ive seen it before, it pissed me off, and I dont get pissed off easy, they deserve more respect than they get...peace Terry
