Tree Thoughts

We trees by the roadside scowl humans
who shamelessly harm mother earth
chopping us down to make room
for useless concrete schemes
let us chop them down
and keep the ones
who love and
nurture
us

Author notes

This is a nonet. As you can tell, I love trees. Yes, I'm a tree-hugger. Get over it.

    I too love trees, and love any type of poetry that deals with them and talks about their existence. Short and well-written...nice writing!
