Goodbye was the last word she spoke
As he sits there and cries
He thought of all the fun times
Then all the lies
The doctor came in and said
“I’m sorry she’s gone”
He still can’t believe she’s dead…
And he is the one to blame
He asks himself why?
Why he had lied
Why he never could say just three little words
Why she had to die?
The day had come and gone
And it was time to say goodbye
And when he got home
He fell down and cried
As he sits here now
And he can finally say
Those three words
On that very same day
In the month of February
He always prays
Then he goes and wishes her
A very Happy Valentines Day

That was a wonderful poem, and one I can unfortunately relate too. Though the words were very simple, the depth they had really grasps you in. It was short and sweet, bittersweet as it may be. Good luck with the contest. Later days.
