One part of Barium two parts of Sodium
Poured in to a beaker through spout
Abracadabra cast the fruity spell
Guess how come a banana sprung out?

Oh wow! Mina, what an experience...concentrated H2SO4 god....thank goodness you didn't burn....Yuck those smells...lol...HCl and H2S04 powerful compounds...my imagine the product...

You know once I put in this test tube with some acids in the centrifuge for centrifugation n I got busy working on some other experiments..lol....when the machine opened...hehehehehe...i wanted to vanish! lol.....i think that day, I set the record for the world's longest centrifugation! hehehehehe

I used to tell this guy I deeply loved{he is a microbiologist studying to get his PhD} to burn himself in conc. H2SO4 each time he would say something to hurt me...now I miss him like anything...sigh............tears!

Yeah Yeti, Hope you did well in your exam and didn't break any more beakers...lol... The worst thing I hate about chemistry lab was the rotten egg smell of H2S gas…lol... In my schoold days we didn’t have periodic table we had to remember all the properties orally… sigh..
I remember once I mixed too much of concentrated H2SO4 and HCL by mistake in my test tube… the test tube started huffing and puffing and spluttering… I got so scared…that was the frightening experience…lol

Mari, Yeah, as for Charishma, a person who can a write a haiku on frog on a toilet seat ought to be clever… lol… I’m glad I made you giggle….

Hiya! hehe thanx a lot for the dedication... I luv it... I'll be doing my Chem. exam today... and working with barium chloride...hmmm...though I think barium sodium(dont think it exists)will react differently..lol.. I don't remember seeing any bananas in the lab...lol... anyways this so cute I'll end up laughing everytime I pick up the bottle... thanx a lot by the way I was just as stumped as margaretg until I read Charishma's explanation...

    HAHAHAHA!!! I like it...I figured

Sodium is chemically represented as "Na"
In L1, you said 2 parts of sodium...so "na na".

In L1, you also said, One part of Barium....so "Ba" - chemical representation.

    Therefore, we have Banana!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!

I loved Chemistry in high school. Thanks for bringing back some real fun memories!
