Farewell

The special hand that holds me to earth,
Loosens its grip
The featherweight upon my shoulders
Feels so heavy a burden that it crushes me
Seeking out my heart and squeezing it,
Seeking out my lungs and deflating them
I scream, I rage, but to no avail
The black dog has broken free of its chains

While it runs rampant across my soul
Unable to move I still claw for my life
Unable to  breathe I fight for breath
I take my last look at the world around me
The world that I desire to know
Desire to have a part of
For my very own,
And bid it farewell
I give my skills to the sea
I give my  fortune to the wind
I give my memories of love to the earth
And bid the world I never knew
Farewell
