The Shadowed Mind

You hardly lived your pointless life, forever believing time
was on your side. For you, the end was never aging
any closer, never coming into view. But
quicker than your eyes allowed, just
like sand you began to fall; down
through and endless canal
of deceiving glass
down
down
where it swiftly
permeated your desolate urn.
Time was fleeting into oblivion, edging
the end into sight. Alas, the final particle of
sand fell from its heavenly height. Simple sobs of
those you love now echo through your cell as the murky
tomb door of your new resting place engulfs your source of light.

I liked this a lot. I really liked how you made it into an hour-glass- very creative, and quite effective also. Nice work here. I did enjoy the read.
