Waiting within glass

I lay here sleeping

Pale as the moon
Rose lips

Waiting
For true love's first kiss

In a gilded coffin
Refracted images peering at me

I go to take a breath
Only to be blocked by that sinful fruit
Rotting in my throat

Closing my eyes
I go back
To the oblivion of sleep.

I very much enjoyed this. "Pale as the moon" and "rose lips" especially caught my attention. I also loved "refracted images peering at me". This piece had a unique gracefulness to it. Keep up the great writing!
