Be myself? There's an idea
Scare everyone away
The ones who sat beside me

Then people will notice
How cool I can be
Without being out of focus
Be a tree? What? A green thing?
You must be off your head
Sometimes I feel
I'd be better off.....
Free? From pain and misery?
I wish that would be so

There's a lot of honesty in this, which I consider to be the main characteristic of good writing. I liked the last stanza best. Nice work.

This was nicely written. "the ones who sat beside me, just for today" what a special thought that is. It is funny how sometimes you sit by someone and they look at you like they can read your soul with a mere glance. It just struck me when I read this poem. Great job, good luck!
