All For The Love Of God

There are so many  words to say thank you God,
but all together they still do not seem enough,
God you have filled my life with such blessings,
and made smooth my path in life that was rough.

It took me all my life to reach out to you,
I turned my back on you for so many years,
then last summer God, you blessed my life,
by sending a dear friend to dry all my tears.

You spoke your loving words through this man,
thank you God for  you forgave me for each sin,
as I knelt before you and prayed with my heart,
your love overwhelmed me,to feel salvation begin.

I praise you God for the gifts you have bestowed,
I am blessed with the gift of compassion and prayer,
thank you God for listening to the words I speak,
when I pray their prayers I know you can hear.

Thank you God for this new life you have given,
thank you God for the love of my Christian friends,
thank you for being such an all forgiving God,
thank you for dying on the cross for all my sins
