There Are Other Things In Life Besides My Gayness

Missing image
~by Gregg Rowe~

Angels inject ethereal parts
My rain-blood drop drips down blue veins
Fluttered wings twang – I release pain
Your rare beauty sings through my heart
I’ve seen homeless people with carts
Young women viciously slain
Aristocrats fail in their charts
In eternity what’s to gain?

Oh my World! – how it changes so
Polygamy in Canada?
Gay marriage – oh, mumbo, jumbo
Moral – legal issues – humbug!

I saw you today, like last night
You called my name,  I screamed your soul
I saw your love, I held it tight
I massaged your heart with my oil

I lit a smoke, you blew a kiss
I flash a smirk, you sneaked a grin
Shyly with a twitch in your eye
We relaxed in sexual bliss
I asked ‘Is it finally in?’
Then you told me you could not lie

Hark!  -- Now calling my hour!
My life – a spider’s web entwined
Imprisoned within his tower

A criminal who toed His line
Now who lives with his Father’s ghost
The proven strength is through my spine

My homo-ality at most
Is off limits for manly jokes.
