Change

Sometimes there's the daytime
Sometimes there's night
An equal balance of power
That feels just right

I watch the moon change shape
And the sun change place
While my own heart and mind
Begin to race

The simplest things
Can make me smile
But the hardest things
Make me run a mile

So again I look above
To the moon and the sun
And I realise then, my life
Has only just begun

Some parts of this poem are beautiful. Others need some work. Again, do not take offense at my words. I mean only the best regards.

    Your friend,

Life can be compared to the sun rising and setting...good metaphor to work with...I like that you enjoy the simple things...people get caught up in technology way too much these days...nice poem

nods This is very true. Most of our lives have just begun and some haven't even began. This is wonderfully written and said.
