Every day my love grows deeper
and every night my heart gently weeps
I'll hold you close to me
Proof that I'll catch you when you fall
Yet it's a constant reminder of what I can't have
How foolish of me to fall for an angel
on devil's wings I fly
The black sky opens her arms
and swallows me whole for the sacrifice
I give my heart away too quickly
and in its place I bury the pain deep inside
I'll love you until memory fades
But an eternity is too long of a wait
