The Waves

Missing image

Frothed, whipped to a frenzy they dance
across the pebbles, rolling and rumbling
tossing and shifting grains of rock...eroded
by time and tide
Crunch upon seaweed.. strewn with abandon
and gathered by seagulls screaming.....tossed further
afield with boredom...
fragile beauty also lies unnoticed by the untrained eye...
complete crab shells..now unoccupied , waiting for a new
tenant to take up residence....winkle shells...ugly on the
outside ... with mother- of- pearl insert..winking in the
sunlight....creatures of the deep glistening... as rays of
sunlight touch the surface and catch their speed... for a split
second....Hypnotic melody of the sea allows the "watcher". to blend with the background and become as one.............

Love watching the waves on the beach too, as they break in and roll out again. Enjoy the sound they make and the quietness of them in the night time as I try to sleep. Not that I have been to the ocean often - a couple of times. Liked the images this write brings.
