His Vows of Silence

His sandy hair and mirthful streak
Make me laugh until I feel quite weak
The look in his eyes makes me crazy
When I’m around him, things are hazy

But even in the best light, he’s not ideal
He has flaws too, flaws that are all too real
His vows of silence are what drive me insane
He refuses to make his answers simple and plain

And as he pretends nothing had occurred
I sit around and think he’s totally absurd
But while I think that he’s being stupid
I know that I have been shot down by Cupid

I just wish I could get behind his blueish eyes
So I would know if I’d have to say any goodbyes
But I can’t, so I’ll have to depend upon him
I just want an answer, even if it be grim

And as his vows of silence have lasted this long
I don’t know if asking him again would be wrong
But as long as he has these vows of silence
I’ll have to deal with his nonviolent violence

    WOW!

WOW! I loved this. It is so hard when people are afraid of their emotions. Its like they are trying so hard to protect themselves, but in the end it really only complicates the situation more. You really expressed this beautifully. I really liked:
"I just wish I could get behind his blueish eyes
So I would know if I’d have to say any goodbyes"
    Awesome!
I can’t wait to read more of your work!
