Andrew, your poetry has such impact in such a few words. Such destinations of the heart speak in this tanka, from the open road, the high seas, even a longing for the heavenly home to manifest itsellf. As for the truckers, may all their roads be golden. What would we do wiihout them?

This made me think of getting on the road and going to find that special someone, who for some reason you are seperated from...If only it were that easy.

I often wonder what it must be like to have no real connection to home. To spend so much time away from it that it becomes the most familiar of your sleeping places and where your mail is delivered.
Truck drivers, Salesmen, the crews that travel with bands and shows that move from city to city never going home for months at a time.
there is a draw for truck drivers, both to the road and them home again.
good one here. gets a person to thinking a bit...
