Relative You Know

So many favorites, don't know where to begin
but maybe I can help my inquisitive friend

Sunday morning biscuits and gravy
Monday sunrise on fallen snow
Tuesday's gymnastics class to me
is rewarding to watching them grow

Wednesday evening with my love on the couch
Thursday coffee, it's girl's afternoon in town
Friday week's end business grouch
goes home wearing a frown

Saturday snuggles under the covers,
out slips a sleepy moan
favorite things are all relative, you know...

Love is a warm bass taken from cool waters, kids finding gummy bears in their scrambled eggs, and a dog sleeping at my feet. You captured the simple things of life quite well.

Our favorite things in life are all relative to how we find each day as it greets us. Your poem finds simple pleasures and transcends them to live.....wonderful indeed.

watch that gravey in the morning though LOL

Life as it is, can be so rewarding. If we only open our eyes and see that each day is a gift to us. If we can just smile, the world will see it and soon there will be more smiles around us. Now that can't be all bad. nice light poem well done.

Truth in raw simplicity. Well executed poem with a smooth flow and unforced rhyming scheme.
