Little Chapel

Missing image
Lover's paradise nestled in the mountains,
Inspirational scenery fills the mind,
Tranquility in majestic woodlands,
Trails of nature leave the city behind.
Lost for a while in the forest realm,
Enchanted, God's creatures sing their song,

Couples on their honeymoon are holding hands,
Hoping days are short and the nights are long.
Abundance of wildflowers dot the meadows,
Picturesque landscapes captivate your eyes,
Emotions of love and passion fill the air,
Leaving memories when it is time to say goodbye.

Author notes

    Beautiful!!!!

    From MoonChild55,
Well first let me say hello!!!I know I have been gone for quite sometime, but so many things have been happening in my life.I have been very ill and in the hospital for many weeks.I just got home a few days ago...and I have a brandnew computer that the Lord provided for me..I don't want you to worry about me but I must tell you that I am now in a hospice program.I know that my time is not very long here on earth. I do not say this for pity I just want all my friends from allpoetry to understand if I dissapear and don't ever get to come back.I love all your great styles of writing, the depths and beauty that you exude in your love of the Lord.Always hang on to that..never let go!!This poem is so lovely,so sweet.I could see the glorious trees,I could hear the forests song,I could remember the sweetness of being in love, could smell the soft scent of the flowers. It is a truly beautiful poem.I still pray for you and all my friends on allpoetry.God be with you always.

You’ll be putting the place on the tourist map with the sweet image you’ve painted in this poem Sandy. Poets ever painting images with words alone as their tool.

    Gorgeously delicate

Little Chapel, wow that is such a nice name!! It sounds so much like a little village, the kind that you see in movies and such, where everyone knows everyone. Just like a little sweet town of innocence.

As for the poem, lovely. The wording is so delicate, creating this really warm, inviting feel to the poem. You make this 'Little Chapel' seem so much like a home...
