Have you seen this wizard?

A taste for mischief,
along with his four best friends.
Padfoot they called him
and the marauder's map their intelligence became,
after roaming the school in the black of night.

Seventh year came and went,
where he found himself at war.
A traitor one of the four became,
which lead to the death of his best friend.

Blamed he was for that death,
and off to Azkabn he went.
Distraught he became
after twelve years of dementors.

Escaped to save Harry
from the man who killed his father.
Only to be hunted endlessly by the ministry.
Taking cover in number twelve Grimmauld place,
for months on end.

Only to be taken down
by blood.
He fell through a mysterious arch
and could not be recovered.

I am not sure there is a "reason" that she killed him off in context of the story. I mean, I am sure she has a reason as an author but I do not think that it is the type of reason that will be made clear in the further books. I think it has more to do with character development than anything else.

I agree, the ending really was the strongest point of the poem. Good character summary, a fitting tribute to a lost hero.

You started off a bit shaky, but it came together there at the end. This is a great write and covers Sirius's life and death. I do see one mistake, AZKABAN is misspelled. but I won't hold that against you. I was so sad when he died I actually cried, not boo hooing off the wall. But silent tear drops ya know? He was crucial part and I was so hoping Harry would get to live with him. But oh, well. J.K. Rowlings has something else in mind. Great Write and Good Luck in my contest!!
