Dance of a New Dawning

Dance of a New Dawning

Gaze upon the path, toward the mountains
Run to a realized dream, for a new dawn has come
Horizons are calling, be still my soul
The righteous path is rewarded
Time stops to honor those
With whom the angels rejoice
…and He is pleased…
…and so they dance.

No, not a dream
Warm are two hearts, bound on winter s night
Two become one awaiting the day, true love professed
Great journeys light their path, With unexpected adventure
Two souls carefully woven, by the Master s hand
Are rewarded in truth, time stood still yet again
To honor those with whom the angels rejoice
…and God is pleased
…and so they dance…
…The dance of a new dawning.

Author notes

This was the very first "serious" poem I wrote a couple of years ago.  I dedicated this to my soul mate who is now my husband.

Interesting poetic imagery. The dancing theme seems to take on a melody of it own as I read through each line. A wonderful vision of rhythm and bliss. Nicely done.
