She smiles; Mona Lisa, like
With the secret that she knows
Hands rest upon her abdomen
her inner spirit glows.
It’s the child that she carries
that adds the sacred light
and the thought of cell’s dividing
gives her infinite delight
She’s dreamed about this moment
for far too many years
and when she feels her child move
she forgets the fruitless tears
It’s a miracle, she knows it
in her heart and in her soul
and she thanks God for the Doctors
that helped her reach her goal
I think of Leonardo
and his famous piece of art:
Could this be what Mona Lisa
Was holding in her heart?

Or she could've just bought herself a new motorbike!
Seriously though this is an interesting thought because when a woman is pregnant she does feel as though she has an awesome secret growing inside her and what else gives you such a high?
I wonder if you are saying that Leonardo could be the father at the end? -
I really liked the way you wrote this piece, good one.
