Some shade of shadows overlays the obvious
Within the breathing alive.
But no one would know unless they are able
To understand in what way she revives.
Somehow the color of candy emerges
On the outskirts of my mind,
And if only if only the simple could fathom
If only the simple could find
The simplest of layers lying over a face
Scarred with pain and struggle and fear;
Perhaps if this impossibility occurred,
The simple could simply see clear.
I have seen what they haven't and I know what they don't.
The outlook is blurred beyond thought.
If only this simplest of girls could realise
The high price at which she was bought.
She deserves so much, yet receives so little,
And judgement is thrown at her head.
I wonder inside my silence quite hidden,
The possible motive instead.
If the world was in her instead of her in the world,
It causes me for once to think:
If only I knew what it was. I'm confused.
She reminds me of some kind of pink...

Alarmingly Brilliant!
Excellent piece of writing. Funnily enough, the piece is so multilayered that I had to read it again... and again I found it quite exceptional.
hi
I like the stream of conscience in this piece, but unlike some poems like this, I really enjoyed both the structure, flow and, ultimately, vision that was expressed in this.
Thank you ever so much for sharing... it was an excellent read! -
I like it, and for some reason the "some kind of pink" part made me laugh. But it was definitely good. ^_^
