Snow!

Why do I love snow? Snow is awesome! Snow is great!

Some people think that snow is a nuissance, a menace, and a mess. But I'm of a different persuasion. I LOVE snow. I love the first snow of the season, the overnight kind. I love waking up with that warm fuzzy feeling inside, looking out the window and seeing the ground covered in the fluffy white stuff. I love when it it falls and sticks to my scarf and eyelashes. I love walking in from the snow and watching the crystals melt off of me - like magic!

I love all the stuff you can make with snow: snow forts, snowballs, snow people, snow angels - we even made a snow couch out on our porch!  I love tobogganing on it, skiing and falling in it, digging tunnels, and throwing it. My dog loves to dig in it and eat it.

I even love the cold, windy winter days when the snow blows around. I love watching it swirl as it comes down off my roof. I love coming in from days like that and feeling the tingle as my toes and nose thaw out. I love the feeling of long underwear and thick fuzzy socks. I love the hot chocolate and good warm cooking. I love sleeping covered in six thick comfy blankets - like a nest.

I love winter and I love snow! Go outside and enjoy some snow today!

Okay okay, so this isn't really a poem, or a column...or anything...just go outside and play in the snow, okay?

    ha ha, you sound like me, except i think that more than being in the snow, i love being inside when it is snowing, curled up in a ball, with oodles of blankets, i like that better, so comfy and lovely feeing, fantabulous!

    I love the snow too, the way it paint everything perfect white. Thanks for your little ode to snow it was beautiful.
    We had a bit of snow two weeks ago, actually it was a lot for around here.

    I love snow!!! WE GOT IT SO BAD THE OTHER DAY HAHAHA I LOVE MY BIRTHDAY WISH!!!!! BWAHAHAHA SWEET 16 TOMORROW! And I got my wish! There's liike 1984714871623 feet EVERYWHERE and bulldozers at every corner, it's soooo awesome so yes! I agree! GO PLAY IN THE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!

    snow is awesome! one of my friends, he likes to go sleep outside in a sleeping bag when he knows it is supposed to snow, so he can wake up covered in it. burrr! is what i think,but it is beautiful. thanks for sharing, now i can tell him there are other people out there like him and to now its not so different and or weird. . . whit
