What is really important

There are so many things I want to do
Before I die,
So many things,
That aren’t important

Things like make my name famous
Or like drive a ‘66 corvette
They would be nice but
Those aren’t the important things in life

But there are some things
So many more things,
That I need to do before I die
That are

I want to have some fun
I want to watch the sunset
And just sit back and enjoy God's World
With a friend

I need to tell those around me
How much I care
How much they mean to me
That is what is important

I want to make people smile
I want to tell people about Jesus
I want to bring people to Him
That is important

There are so many things in this world
That I need to do but
They get replaced with things that are
Superficial and unimportant

So starting today,
I am going to try
To focus on what is important
To focus on what I need to focus on

Lord help me with this
I want to do nothing
But serve you
Amen
