\There she rocked him gently
The wind blew a gale outside
Catching all the sleepy souls unaware
Inside he was restless
As his mother sung him a
Forgotten lullaby, to send him away
The rain began to pitter-patter
On the great roof top
His eyes falling almost shut
The delicate swaying got the better
He was whisked to a far away paradise
As she lay him in his cot\

This is a gorgeous poem. It took me right back to those precious times when I rocked and sang lullabies to my own babies.
Such a soothing and peaceful write too, and the way you have incorporated the sounds of the wind and rain helps to create an even more enchanting atmosphere!
Wonderful!

A lovely and peaceful poem. When I read the title I expected to read of the pitter patter of little feet - but this was great the way you used it as a rain-drop lullaby. Nice job, and good luck in the contest.

Ummmmm..... very different. Cute story but there is a lot to think about reading it, without really knowing any story of the sort. Very good write. It's different, adorable, and eye catching. It's also very nice to see a poem thats not obsessed with drugs, sex, pain, or "Oh I hate my life". It has a very nice feeling to it. Shows you are a good writer. Hope to read more in the future.
