An angel walks amongst us
Although we can not see his wings
He comforts and warms the hearts of all
By his smile and the songs he sings
He soars above the highest highs
Only his feet never leaves the ground
He lifts and carries all our spirits
With a kindness and compassion so profound.
This angel unknowingly spends his days
Restoring hope within the souls
To the ones who have somehow lost their way
He gladly gives his time and consoles
He's always more than willing
to share a moment with a friend
Or bestow a smile upon a stranger
He's the one on which you can always depend.
There's a warmth and gentle strength
That escapes from behind his gracious eyes
He is that shoulder you look for
When your world is falling and you need to cry.
His patience is forever forthcoming
Untouchable by any man
He lets you know you're never alone
With just the simplest touch of his hand.
His compassion and unwavering concern
Lets you know to him you can confide
His embrace erases our worries
For it tells us he'll always be by our side
Yet this Angel sent from Heaven
With all the wisdom he does own
Has no recognition of his gift
His worth to the world to him is left unknown.
If you were to ask him about himself
He'd probably shrug and say he's just a man
But ask any of us who have been graced by him
And we'll reply without him, we just could not stand.
For he is always there for you
Adorning a smile which spills out love
His type of friendship and generosity
Are things that speak of a world above
I smile and shake my head in disbelief
As I sit and listen to the words he sings
He'll never know, He'll never see
He is undoubtedly an Angel without wings.

Truely Awesome
An awesome poem Stail. If you look out the corner or your eye and in just the right light, you can catch them watching over you. I've gotten feeling many times that my own angel has helped me through some difficult times. I love this poem because I can relate to it on many levels. Keep up the great writing. I don't know if this is suppoised to be spiritual..but I still liked this.
To me however, it seemed like I was reading a lovely fable.
It was like a perfect storybook- with velvet pages which glided across ones eyes as they read.
It was very beautiful indeed.
