So Much Snow. (tanka)

so much snow
even the mountain fades
in the distance
will I see your footprints
before Spring?

    an ice cube of words
    ideas float
    far beyond the essence
    I cannot capture it
    in my comments.

    Excellent

A breath-taking tanka, full of powerful and beautiful visualisations. I really enjoyed the read, for it both attained a hint of multi-layered meaning and insightful questioning. Thank you for sharing this.

    good

I really liked this, so soft and beautiful. It reminds me of a lover's cry for lost love. Very powerful and enticing.

Hey Adrew depents on if you are related to the Yetti.
But if your mind is as clear as the snow image you painted you can expect anything (or should it be everything). Anyhow a fine picture whith fine emotion.

Wonderful image and feeling in this, Andrew! I love the question, since heavy snowfall obliterates footprints so quickly...

nice job! It's got that short but ammusing quality to it. The question at the end left that air of mystery leaving teh reader with a great ending! This poem is extremly successfull! It's always nice to read a tanka becuase I find there aren't that many around! It was a nice treat! May all your poems be as successfull as this in the future !

I really liked this, it was really sweet. You created beautiful visions of soft, white snow. Ah, I miss it. Nice one
