Phantasy

A wondrous fantasy,
apple of my mind’s eye,
a delusional dream,
a fantastic lie.

A want I cannot have,
she isn’t real,
but how can it be her
that I feel?

A love for her is in me,
yet I can’t make her real,
i can only see her on paper,
drawn with a lonely man’s zeal.

But here she is,
held tight in my arms,
could this be one of
insanity’s charms?

No, my reality was a lie,
My hope found true,
I have found my unreal love,
For she was you.

Author notes

My lady friend was worried that perhaps I was a little too obsessed with my furry-dom.  So, to show her who was the top priority and keeper of my heart (not to mention my perception of reality), I wrote this.  Inspired by a combination of an avatar featuring Sasha the P***star Bunny and a phone call with my loved one.  No funny looks :-P

Aw hey brandon, this is sooo pretty. I'm with Leah though the comments are a bit confusing. I love the poem, it shows just how much ya care for her. She is a lucky girl. Keep writing, your grand.

Ah, Brandon, this is so sweet and cute and adorable and all that other mushy wording that I don't know too much about using at times like these. Umm...your author's comment is confusing and weird, and I don't really wanna know what your talking about I don't think. But the poem. Oh, it's wonderful. I've been looking forward to your writing...patient. Oh, yes, and then you write this. It's so wonderful. Grand job at it.
    Peace and Love,
    Leah
