See that star?
It’s my star.
The one I wish upon.
My every hope
My every dream
From dusk until the dawn.
For as long as I remember
I’ve sent it my desires
Sure that it would nurture them
In its adoring fires
See that star?
The one right there?
I’ve never had a doubt.
It’s the only one for me.
Did you see my star?
It’s...
the one that just went out.

I'm glad that you liked my poem. I guess I have a diffrent idea of what is sad or dark. To me having the star that I was counting on to grant my wishes die before any of them are fulfilled is one of the saddest things I can think of. But, then I'm feeling really bad these days since I feel like my dreams are never going to come true, so I'm biased. Maybe I'll do better next time. Thank you for reading and commenting. Patti

Well not quite dark, or sad, but it was a great write. I liked it, keep up the great work,
