Matthew 5:11-20

You are truly blessed when you are persecuted,
when people say evil things to you because of me,
rejoice and be happy your reward waits in Heaven,
all the prophets before you were persecuted for Thee.

You are the salt of the earth do not lose your saltiness,
for you will be thrown away and trampled by man,
you are the light of the world, light the city on the hill,
shine it on everyone in your home as bright as you can.

Let everyone see all the good deeds you have done,
always give praise to the good Lord above,
I will not stop till the Law of Prophet is fulfilled,
I will accomplish all this with my amazing love.

Do not break even the smallest of my commandments,
it is wrong to teach others to disobey them too,
break His commandments you may not enter Heaven,
practice God's laws and God's kingdom waits for you.

Be as moral as the teachers of God's laws and words,
more righteous then the religious leaders may be,
enter the Kingdom when you obey what is seen and heard,
follow His commandments and live for eternity.

  • I really like the first line. It's an idea we don't often ponder. The Bible says to confront trials with joy. A hard concept to do I must say! Great write

Thank you for sharing such a deep poem. I really liked how you take scripture and turn it into a poem. Very neat! That is a really good passage and it is really neat encourage the Christians to press on! That is so cool on how far it really goes. And I completely agree.. we need to be Righteous, not Religious! More like we need to have a relationship, not make it a Ritual! I really love how you brought this out. And again, very encouraging about rejoicing when being persecuted because of Him. That means we are doing something right when that happens! Haha. I always think that if you're in a battle, but not getting shot at then there's something wrong... so like being persecuted, being shot at says that you're a threat to the enemy! Very good writing! Blessings!

Thank you so much Ann, I have been writing many for Jason to read, writing them on my email and sending them. but this one I decided to put on here. I enjoy sending them. He has done so much for me. I will get to meet him this summer in cincinnati, Ohio and get baptised at his church, The vineyard. I can't wait. I have done twenty different scriptures. I really enjoy writing them for him. He led me to Jesus and needs some spiritual encouragement. He is out of work and wants to be a pastor. He is a youth leader in the church now. Well take care and God bless you.

    Most inspiring, beautiful

Sandy...I am so extrememly touched by this spiritual write. It makes one think and look deeply in the soul. I try my best with each new day, but this makes me reassess. What can I do to be more faithful to his law? We are human and mistakes are made, sometimes looking back at the end of each day helps...He is most forgiving as long as our hearts are in the right place. THANK YOU Sandy, my dear friend for your beautiful words of inspiration. Love, Ann
