Heavenly Angels

Missing image
There are angels flying amongst the clouds,
whispering and singing sweet melodies
warning of danger with the summer wind,
floating and drifting among the stars,
guarding human frailty with a symphony,
taking delight as they frolic on moonbeams,
dancing around the heavenly galaxies,
unseen except for a slight flicker of moonlight
caught in their halo as the moon rises above,
guiding the souls of the newly departed
the pearly gates lead to their heavenly abode,
their angelic qualities have been tested,
earning their wings for their goodness on earth,
resting on the soft white billowing clouds,
they have God's blessings to fly amongst us,
keeping us safe roaming the universe unseen.
guarding us with silent prayers of God's love.

I wouldn't have said flying, but more abundantly viable, that ellusiveness that gives us hope and that favourable position which gives each individual a chance of it happening. How close you become is dependant on how low one can feel. At aq time, when one is less likely to see what is expressed it is showing you how far they can dredge themselves, and that is out of sight. A great poem for great believers, not just levellers, who are on a downward slope!

Hello, A wonderful comment and I agree a different word for flying would sound better. Usually what ever I feel and pops in my mind I write down. My poem always reflect my moods too.
I do believe there are angel here on Earth. Guiding and protecting us unseen. And I believe God sends people into our lives who are angels too. They come in and out of our lives to help us through many things and then move on. Some stay longer and some forever. He has sent so many into my life for me to help and who help me. I have always found that when helping others we are helping ourselves just as much. That you for this lovely comment. You take care. Sandy

This described a spiritual experience or believe (like that of angels) without being overly religious, which is both appreciated and understood. I think you handled the subject matter with a great deal of grace and beauty. I could almost feel the flutter of the wings myself after reading this.
