Where do I start? Hmmmm...I live in Missouri the SHOW ME state. I am very HAPPILY married to my sweet husband Jim, and have one AMAZING daughter Lauren who is my own personal muse . They are both angels, and I am BLESSED to have them in my life. The most important thing to me is my therapist-GOD and my family. My family obviously including the afore mentioned, plus my sisters, who are my BEST friends, and my WONDERFUL Mother and Stepdad. OK..they're all angels...I MEAN IT! I have TERRIFIC in-laws too! (two more angels ) What more could a gal possibly want?
(Other than to be 25, thin, blonde and wealthy forever? )
Writing has always been special to me, and I don't really have a single style that I am partial to. I write stories, poems, books, and I am even working on a couple of screenplays. I like writing in both the children's and adult genres. In the world of writing, poetry has always been my first love (although not my strongest talent ).
Other things that are important to me? Friends...which I have made so many dear ones right here on AP...you know who you are, and I love you all! Music...I love music...all kinds, but Jazz (the smooth jazz) has to be my favorite! JACKIE CHAN! Yes, I am an avid fan of his! A good sense of humor is VERY important, in fact it's vital to survive in this world any more...so !
My favorite poem
A Psalm Of Life
by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Tell me not in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou are, to dust thou returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul.
Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each tomorrow
Find us farther than today.
Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.
In the world's broad field of battle,
In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife!
Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!
Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act, - act in the living Present!
Heart within, and God o'erhead!
Lives of great men all remind us
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sand of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o'er life's solenm main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us then be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.
A few of my favorite quotes
"He is great who is what he is from nature, and who never reminds us of others." Ralph Waldo Emerson
"We must be the change we wish to see." Gandi
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in service of
others." Gandi
I like Chinese proverbs. Here are a few for you
Men's schemes are inferior to those made in heaven.
There is no wave without the wind.
Best advice I was ever given:
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference
Previously I had a list posted of some of my favorite poets here on AP, but so many have changed their names (some several times ), and some come and go. So I abandoned the listing, for fear of exhaustion from constantly having to edit it . I have so many, the list was getting quite long as well. I hope you all understand.

Outstanding friend

Always ready with a kind thought
Pleasantly ornery(when it is called for)
Eager to help others
Refreshingly honest

On a deck of trans-pacific liner.
Thank you so very much!!!
Often people wonder why you have chosen the persona you have.
I tried to sum it up myself in acrostic form...
