Inspiration
I do not sit down at my desk to put into verse something
that is already clear in my mind.
If it were clear in my mind I should have no incentive
or need to write about it.
We do not write in order to be understood; we write in order to understand.
(C.Day Lewis)
I love to write. I am a natural born story-teller who desires to share the stories that life brings me. Born and raised on a ranch in Oregon I'm a country girl. As a novice I appreciate constructive criticism. I'm here to try it all, and discover who I am as a writer and an artist.
I will always be grateful to the talented and respected poet/author who told me about this site. I like to think as he read my attempts at poetry on another site, he saw some raw un-trained talent. No doubt in dire need of instruction! ![]()
My favorite saying in life: There is no such thing as an accident in God's economy, only divine appointments.
A favorite Author: Oriah Mountain Dreamer and I quote from her book The Dance published 2001:
"Show me how you offer to your people and the world
the stories and the songs you want our children's children to remember, and I will show you how I struggle,
not to change the world, but to love it."
