that has long been left behind
in the midst of the dark
within her fast growing spark
She still thinks of many daily
and wonders if they can see
how much they mean, though she's far
away from being a shining star
within the lives of that few
that seem to need her too much to
ever fully let her go
though they should surely know
that she's been gone for so long
and such things can be seen as wrong
And she wonders, what do you see
when you sit down and think of me?
The answers are held within her heart
while she is being torn apart
by the despair of others dear
to separate herself so clear
What she needs is hidden away
Perhaps her secrets are on display
within the dusty scriptures held fast
to her chest; present, future, and past
