Only justShow poetry

My name is Melanie. I'm a bit of an extremist in life, and I find it hard to reach a middle ground. I always seem to be caught inbetween feelings with can be really scary and confusing, because I don't really know which way to turn. Strength and weakness, fearlessness and terror, attention and boring people with it. I'm a pathological liar although I think I'm getting better at controlling it. Sometimes I can't remember what's real and what wasn't. I get really scared of losing things and worry far too much. I'm kind of wandering through life bemused, with little direction... But I try my best to find control and know what I'm doing.

I've battled with a lot of mental problems in my years. Some I've gotten through, some still linger on the side-lines. I've got a very obsessive personality (as you will soon discover if you read my poetry) and I've had my fair few troubles with love (typical teenage angst, how could we forget our ranking). Music has played a huge part in my life, caring and provoking. Sometimes it's just not good for my health and wellbeing, but at the same time, it gets me through almost everything I come across.

A lot of my poetry is spur of the moment, passionate writing. It seems to be either painful, condescending, spiteful or ironically funny... Whenever I try to write something lovely and happy, it always sounds so stupid! I have a sour state of mind when it comes to my poetry, but hey, that's life.
