At one point, like almost everyone else who came to AP and loved this site,
I spent lots of time here, wrote lots of poetry and made many friends. Then
I took a small break to tend to all those things that get put on the back
burner when you find yourself spending too much time in one place. What I
thought would be a 1 or 2 week hiatus from AP, turned out being more than
a year. Like so many others, I found I couldn't squeeze 28 hours into a 24
hour day - in other words, LIFE GOT IN THE WAY.
I can say I'm probably busier now than ever before, but I'm going to try to do ALL things in moderation, hopefully leaving me at least a little time to visit this site more often and even write something occasionally.
As for my work, it doesn't fit into any one category. I love to try any and
all types of poetry, and if you're looking for a specific type of poetry, you'll
have to sort thru my stuff to find it. There's funny/corny,
sweet/sentimental, dark/dreary, hopeful/heartfelt, rhyme/meter,
free/blank verse, songs/parodies, limericks/haiku, and on and on...
The only thing I can guarantee is that you'll come across stuff that you are
absolutely, positively indifferent about, but if you keep looking you'll find
some poems you truly like.
. HAPPY HUNTING!!

Here is a nice thought that reflects on many of the poets from this site:
"Sometimes, words are all we have to give.
Sometimes, that is all that was needed."

sad1976 on September 22, 2006I found one of your poems on most recent random and thought that I would check out your authors page. I will read more of your work as soon as I have a little more time. As I really loved the first poem of yours that I read.sad1976
