I am a Libra

October's child is born for woe,
and life's vicissitudes must know;
But lay an opal on her breast,
And hope will lull those woes to rest.

In Chinese Astrology, I am a Tiger (Purrrrrrrrr)

Tiger people are powerful and courageous,
in line with their animal counterparts. (Naaaaw,  meow,  I couldn't hurt a mouse!.   )
They have capacity for original, & creative thought.
(original, .....creative,..... now, there's a thought )
Tigers are natural leaders, but can be stubborn. <<<(Quick! Call 911, this guy needs O2!)  
They usually occupy elevated positions in society,
(Oh, so now, I'm gonna be...umm.. president? )  
They tend to be unwilling to take heed of or to trust others beneath them.
(Hey! Who said that?   Okay, thought I was hearing those voices again!)
They are rebellious & tend to resent the people  
who are in a position above them. (    Position? Above me?     Hey! Get off me!   )
Tigers are wild, lacking stability & are prone to be restless.(who, me? restless ?)
They become easily bored.(zzzzzzzzzzz )
They thrive on variety & constant challenge. (Thus, my internet addiction . )
Also, Tigers are not easily tamed, ("pffffffffft" , with claws out!)
they value their independence & freedom too much. (hmmm, Yep, now THAT'S me!!!   )

My favorite books are One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest , The Purpose Driven Life, Windows for dummies,  (Good information in here on how to open your bedroom window, without hitting yourself on the head! ) Parenting for dummies, (still don't understand that one )
My favorite actors are Crash Test Dummies, ( Love their commercials) Wonder how they survive that?

I have 5 children ranging from 23 yrs old to 2 years old! That is just not normal!!
I have 6 grandchildren, two of which, are older than my youngest child. What can I say?
They made a young grandma out of me. hee hee

AND IN CLOSING, (yes, this nightmare is almost over!) I might sound blonde, but am actually a brunette. Though, I was born blonde, but my hair got darker as I got older & wiser! OH, & I almost forgot,......... with gray highlights!!!! About 10 for each of my kids,( counting on fingers)
1, 2, 3, 4, ummmm........ 4, 5.................well........alot!   no offense to all you blondes out there! As I said, I was born blonde!

This is my favorite poem. Makes me smile.

THE FINAL GAME

When the final score is written and
the final game is played,
When the pageantry is ended and
the referee is paid,
When the locker room is empty except
for a ghost or two
Who came in to haunt the losers as
they passed in sad review,

When the grandstands are vacated
and the echoes long have died,
When the wind rides through the turnstiles
like a stallion who has tried
To break the bridle that bound him
and suddenly he is free. . .
And the spurs no longer bleed him as
he gallops to the sea,

When the tickets all are counted and
the deposits are made,
When the night throws velvet blankets
on the dust of the parade,
When the game of life is over will
it bring me joy or shame?
Will I be damned or honored when
the great scorer calls my name?

An Angel

You tickle my soul
and set my spirit free
You inscribe in my heart
the most unforgettable melody

I know God did hear my prayers
and he knew the perfect cure
My only escape lead me to
this amazing woman here

Miserably, I was falling quickly
the pieces of me soon to fall apart
Suddenly, I was lifted with advice and support
An angel is this woman, with her extraordinary heart
