It has taken me 10 years to find my writing voice... hopefully in another 10 years I will have found my writing talent.



I've been writing ever since I could print my name, but have only been writing poetry regularly since I was about 15. I get my inspiration from everywhere -- things I see, personal experience, friend's experience, movies, to something I have read. My inspiring moments usually come at the worst of times. Mostly, when I'm on the verge of falling asleep, my mind tries to fit in as many thoughts as it can before I doze off. Sometimes, I unfortunately have to ignore them and go to sleep but other times, it's impossible.
I have my heart set on becoming a better writer, so I would appreciate any comments. The type of comments I would like are constructive critism (what's good/bad), and how the poem made you feel, if it had any affect at all. I will also give everyone who comments five stars when possible as a thank you for leaving a comment, and I will do my best to return the favour when I have a chance.
