Mysty rainShow poetry

Hello. I am a single mother of 4 daughters, one of which is a member of AP. I have 12 grandchildren, 6 boys and 6 girls, 3 of which my oldest daughter adopted. They all call me G.G., which stands for Gorgeous Grandma (LOL). I am interested in genealogy and have been doing it for well over 30 years now. I have never found it boring, just that sometimes it can be frustrating and I tend to put it aside for awhile. My favorite reading is true crime and true ghost stories. I love to work logic problems and I carry a sudoku puzzle book in my purse to work on when I find the time. I also like to surf the internet and to play all types of games that I can find to download. I like to spend time outdoors with my family. I enjoy a brisk walk through the woods and being out on the lake. I also like camping very much. I once spent a whole summer out camping. It was a wonderful experience. I like to write poetry and I hope that I may improve myself through this site. I have tried my hand at erotica and I think that some of it is fairly good. I have also written some spiritual lyrics which I have set to my own music, one of which my mother requested that I sing for her at her funeral, which I did. It is called, "In the Twinkling of an Eye," which I have put on this site. She passed away in January 2006. I had taken care of her during her illness. She spent her last 8 months at home under the care of Hospice and myself. The Hospice workers are a wonderful group of loving people whom I applaud with a heartfelt appreciation. They made my mothers last days comforting and also gave to me a wonderful support system. I will always remember them for their love and concern. My father passed away in September of 2000. His death came totally unexpected. I also sang his favorite song "The Old Rugged Cross" at his funeral. He had asked me about 20 years prior to his death to sing this song for him. Also my oldest brother died of a heart attack in January of 2000. They are all sadly missed and remembered with much love. As I stated earlier, I am hoping that my poetry writing skills will be much improved with my association with AP.
