Hi Everyone
I am changing my page a bit... Okay, a lot because I just did a little checkup on my life and figured out a few things which I need to change.

For those of you who have never visited my profile, I'm Katie, I'm 15 and I live in Australia. Thats the basics. But just before I wrote a poem called "What Am I Truly Passionate About?" It is a reassessment of my life and how I am wasting it. So from today onwards, I am going to be a happier, healthier person, with a will to live and something to live for.

I have figured out three major things that make me tick: Music, writing and God! These three things no one can take away from me. I'll start by describing each one and what it means to me.

Music: Music has been in my life since I was a very little girl. I play the piano, I sing and I play the oboe and the saxophone. I am grade four level on each, and by the time I am in year twelve I hope to be at an Amus level. I have often been told I have a wonderful voice, and that I should be a famous singer. But what is a singer without songs?

Writing: Writing, especially poetry, is my way of telling people how I feel. I have always had a way with words. And writing poems is like writing songs. So by doing this, and being an active part of this site has helped me free my muse and will help me write more songs. I also write stories, with my current one being 7000 words long (or something like that).

God: God is my saviour. He is my King and my Friend. I love my Lord and I always will. I was saved at a youth group over two years ago, and I have dedicated my life to serving him. Sometimes life is hard but God has always gotten me through it and I'm stronger for the better. I'm not perfect, but with God's help, I am learning to be a better person.

These three things are going to be my focus of life over the years. More poems are going to be dedicated to my passions. And I want everyone to understand: this is MY life, these are my passions. If you don't agree with me, I don't care. I probably wouldn't agree with you. I am 14 and I have given up on guys because they are a waste of time(as more than friends, I have heaps of guy friends but I'm not interested in more than that) Because of which I shall no longer write soppy love poems, for lost love or new found love, because those boys were not worth my love.

So this is me. This is what I do best. And I plan on using my opportunity to the best of my ability.
