Describe my poetry huh? Let's see...the very first poem that I wrote was the one entitled "For My Grandma". She was and will always be my hero. She had alzheimers for 8 years before she passed away. When I got the call, I felt that I had to do something special for her. And, well as they say...The rest is history! I seem to write my better stuff when I am emotional. My husband and I have gone through ALOT, and writing helped me deal with things. I also found out that someone i called a friend, was just playing me. That really hurt, and some of my poetry reflects those times. On my happy days, I love to write about how someone effected my life in a positive way, ya know, let them know just how I feel. So, to describe my poetry, I guess I would have to say "Depends on what day it is!!"
I seem to be my worse critic, as we all probably are, so I REALLY REALLY would LOVE for anyone and everyone to give me feedback, good or bad. I want to learn to be a better poet, and the only way to do that is for my fellow poets to help. I pride myself on being able to accept constructive critisim, so please don't be shy. I think I speak for alot of people when I say It does hurt some to get negative feedback, but if we didn't sometimes get it, how would we learn?
I want to thank everyone who takes time out of their busy day to stop and read my work. I will try to "return the favor" on anyone who does.
And now for some of my favorite quotes:
*No matter where you go....there you are!*--unknown
*One of the oldest human needs, is to have someone to wonder where you are when you don't come home at night.
~~Margaret Mead
*Who will be the last to die for a lie?*---unknown

Adoption. Abortion. God gave my birth mother a choice. She had to choose one. Adoption or Abortion. Who knows maybe it never really was a choice. Either way, here I am. I have my fair share of issues that came with that word. And it's not so much the word...it's just the feelings I have, the ones that I just cannot

Piper77 on June 26, 2006Hi! I guess I chose Piper because of the show Charmed. I was addicted to it a couple of years ago, and so then all my accounts became Piper77, so I just stuck with it. I love the name Piper though!
