I am currently a senior in college, hoping to become a high school English teacher at the end of it all. I love art, music, writing, reading, vampire novels, starbucks, victoria's secret, painting, animals, helping people, cemeteries, faeries, and my friends and family.
I have a lot more poetry than what is on this site. Mostly, I write free style. Sometimes, to challenge myself, I'll try a to write something a little different, whether thats using a form or trying to focus on a particular things, be it an image, a metaphor, a word, or how words are used. I used to think that poetry was all about expression of emotion. I've realized as I've gotten older that nothing is ever quite that simple. Poetry is complex, like people. My poetry is the same way. A lot goes into it--memory, emotion, messages, symbols, imagery. Almost any poem you read from me is going to be personal to me in some way. Thats just how I write.
