I'm afraid I'm one of those rhyming nuts who despises free verse with a passion - bar the odd exception (like one in a 1,000,000!)

To the mods on here :-

Oh, and by the way, if you can't take a joke, you'd better block me now, because I seem to offend many pathetic people on here without meaning to : however, I shall keep on saying what I think, and telling the truth. I'm still waiting to be banned from the site!

I'm a 200 year old grandad, a Yorkshireman, and proud of it ; though I escaped over the Pennines years ago, and lived in Manchester until last year when, like the rest of the UK, I moved abroad. I now live in a beautiful medieval village in the South of France, amongst the lovely rolling vineyards of Languedoc Roussillon, where I can play golf all year round. Though I'm not staying here ; I want to go to live in Australia, but I'm having opposition from the Dragon (La Patronne, they say in France), so we may compromise with somewhere else hot - maybe the Caribbean.

Want to hear something funny? A particular freeversewriting lady from washington DC sent me a message tonight (07/12/07), objecting to my critique of SOMEONE ELSE'S work (another freeverser). She said that free verse was a "stepping stone" - TO WHAT, FOR F**K'S SAKE, RHYME? What tosh! She then called me immature, and immediately blocked me before I could reply! How immature is THAT?

I'm following it too;
by cutting down on bad free verse
and writing more haiku!
