Midnight-whisperShow poetry

I am a 26 year old female. I live in Sebring Florida. I am blessed with a beautil girl who is now 7 years old! I am married and have been for 7 years!

I'm boring. I'm not out to save the world. I hate talking about myself. What could I possibly say in this little box that would help people get to know me. I refuse to be anything other then myself. I'm tired of all the cookie cutter, bubble gum jokers out there who see something they think is cool so they join in, like its play day or something. I like alot of things. Everything almost. I will give everyone a chance because I think everyone offers me something new to learn. But that doesn't mean I'll keep you around if youre an idiot.

I am intrested in making friends that share the same passion for writing that I have. I don't write many rhyming poems, I perfer freeverse. I graduated from high school in 2000. I started writing in 6th grade thanks to my English teacher! Writing is my lifeline. It is what keeps me going. If I have a bad day, I can take myself out of the situation and write as if it is someone else going through the problems I just removed myself from. It is a great escape from the idiots that pop up in life!!

One of my favorite pieces is by a wonderful woman, Linda Ellis. It is titled "The Dash". I would like to add it so everyone can be blessed by her words in this simple poem.

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears
But he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on Earth
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not how much we own
The cars, the house, the cash
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
That can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.

And be less quick to anger
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we never loved before.

If we treat each other people with respect
ans more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.

So when your euology is being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?

  • My body hurts. My arms physically ache to hold another one.
This pain is to intense at times the only way to escape it is to cry until not
