Miamigirl• Show poetry

I'm a 44 year old female with four children.  I was born in Brooklyn, New York.  I have called Miami, Florida home since 1969.  
I am unemployed and love to write.  I have aspirations of becoming a published author though I need alot of work with several elements of writing.  Such as meter and cliches.
I don't really know if I am good enough of a writer to even be considered.
I will let time tell and put it in God's hands. I seem to write from my heart and the words just flow from me.
I am not sure if I will find my way out of this meter rut.  Time will tell.  
I love this site and have many friends here.  I love reading everyone's work and am always thrilled when someone comments on my work.  
Sharing my work with the public is very new to me.  I have been writing since I was a child but never shared my pieces with anyone.  This is a new journey I am on.  Only the sweet Lord knows where it will lead.

I have a request for all that visit my page.  If you read one of my poems please leave a comment.  Even if you hated it.  I go crazy when I see that I had visitors and they didn't leave any word on what they read.  Its maddening!  I wonder what did they think, they must have hated it or they would have said something. I truly am interested in everyones opinion, good and bad. So please, let me know what you thought.  Thanks
