Check out my bro Trevor!! *smile*
www.allpoetry.com/poets/trot

You know, for a long time I had a bit here to "describe" who I really am..but it dawned on me, there is no better description of myself than to read my poetry. Poetry not only shows you my true self, but it peels away every layer of my being and reveals the person even my friends don't get to see. It's a brief glimpse into my heart, my mind - my soul. Many refuse to share their works, for fear of being critisized - for it is my very being put on the chopping block for you all to see. I find it to be rather liberating though. I'm not putting myself out there to be torn apart, but rather to be understood; so that maybe some lonely soul feels companionship...even if it is for only a moment :]

**One of my favorite poems**
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent! -Lord Byron

-There exist only three beings worthy of respect: the priest, the soldier, the poet. To know, to kill, to create. ~Charles Baudelaire

-Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time. ~John Lubbock
