i dedicate this page and all of its offerings to the divine source of my inspiration: melpomene, the muse of tragedy; from which all beauty flows in endless agony.
about the poet herself:
my name is vanessa, which in greek to my understanding, literally means "butterfly". in no means am i delicately beautiful as butterflies often are, but i am in a continuous state of metamorphosis, evolving gradually into complete self-realization. i am constantly recreating myself in my artistic endeavors. as of late, poetry has become my only means of solace because i often find that i can't verbalize my emotions to people (at least in a coherent fashion) due to some weird mental block, so i write them all down in the journals i carry. tucked away safely in those pages, is my soul and all that remains of me to this day. i guess i could be considered a mute of sorts. my mind, however, is never silent in spite of me, but with the help of my muse i am able to transcend in glorious ways.
