Shenandoah Autumn
School began in the Shenandoah Valley in late August and all seems right with the world once again. The children are busy with school activities and the normal routine has resumed. The days are still quite warm in this area but the nights are getting chilly and a fire in the fireplace feels quite nice. I don't like to wish time away but I always enjoy the change of seasons. The leaves are just beginning to turn here and will reach their peek within the next 3 weeks or so. It's lovely living in this part of the world.
My husband and I enjoy our quiet time together, the time we are able to spend with our friends, and our family. In my spare time I enjoy writing, reading, gardening, watching old movies on TV and spending time with Jackson, my one year old Lhasa Apso. My husband and I enjoy traveling to the western states, especially our trips to Colorado and Idaho. We hope to make it "across the pond" one year, soon.

A FAVORITE POEM:
What if you slept?
And what if,
in your sleep
you dreamed?
And what if
in your dream
you went to heaven
and there plucked
a strange and
beautiful flower?
And what if,
when you awoke,
you had the flower
in your hand?
