I stood, staring at the spot where Derek had just disappeared.

K-Dense on November 12, 2008The first ability of a great writer is that they never question their ability or compare themselves to other writers.
Whenever you can, go to Phoenix and watch, learn, GET INSPIRED. You will grow and evolve as a writer/performer, I promise you.
In the mean time, research like hell. Conduct Google and YouTube searches on slam poets and slam poetry. read as much poetry as possible. Develope your own style. Learn from others.
